Now we travel across the bridge in the other direction. The east approach to the bridge is on an overpass above street level. A bike lane is appropriate in this context, but the raised reflectorized markers could be a problem if bicycle traffic is heavy and bicyclists must leave the bike lane to overtake. Conditions at this location are similar now to what is shown in this 1987 photo.
